We made it to the final day of the trip and I’m honestly so upset to being leaving beautiful city and these amazing people! But I didn’t let that get in the way of making the most out of the last few moments! We started the day with a curling lesson, then some free time, and ended the night with dinner at Heaven 23.
I don’t think it’s a secret that a new born fawn has more coordination in one leg than I do in my whole body, so nobody was surprised when I wasn’t an all-star at our curling lesson! Nevertheless, I had a BLAST and the grips on the shoes allowed me to be the team “sweeper”.

After curling we had some free time, so we hit up the local fire department (because what else would we do?). We just went to get a shirt for one of our classmate’s dad, but we ended up getting a full tour from the future Chief in Command. He took us “behind the scenes” and we got to see all of the amazing facilities the station has. They had 17 bays and multiple workout facilities. The variety of workout options are important because all their firefighters are required to workout for at least an hour per shift.
Another part of the tour that stood out was that they do testing on equipment in-house. They didn’t go into much detail and I’m not sure if I’m allowed to share what they were doing, but it was super cool to see them taking control over the equipment they use.

We stopped as a few shops to get gifts for our friends and family, but they’re a surprise so I can’t share anymore details!
We got dressed up for one last group dinner at Heaven 23 which is on the 23rd floor of Gothia Towers. We all tried the “Kings Sandwich” which is apparently a staple in Sweden. It wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever tried, but it was just too much for one person. Then JJ treated us to one last late-night snack at TinTin’s. I got a chocolate cake topped with coconut… Thanks JJ!

Coffee Break
There wasn’t any time for a coffee break today! I’m honestly surprised I survived.
Cocktail Hour
I ended the night with a couple of glasses of Pinot Noir at dinner (I drank half of it before I remembered to take the picture…oops!). We didn’t have a “proper” cocktail hour after dinner because we had to pack up for our flight tomorrow morning!

Today’s Top Three
1. Goteborg averages 1 shooting per day
2. Rescue divers are on the clock at all times in Goteborg
3. 12 days is not enough time to spend in Goteborg. I’m still discovering new things!
Look at that shrimp!!!
