Andrew Hammond from Valea said “find a job where you hate the weekends and look forward to Monday.” If someone figures out what job that is please let me know. Until then, I’ll continue to love every minute of weekend freedom that I have!
As much as I love to sleep in on a Saturday morning, we didn’t want to waste our last weekend in Sweden asleep. We got up early and we to breakfast at Tin Tin’s. I got another vanilla latte (are you really surprised?) and scrambles eggs served on toast with bacon. It was the perfect breakfast to prepare us for the day!
After breakfast we went the Universeum and embraced our inner little kid. The Universeum is an interactive museum with multiple exhibits such as rain forests, oceans, space, technology, and health.
The Rain Forest
The rain forest was by far the largest exhibits. It reminded me of an indoor exhibit at the zoo with all of the live animals and plants. It was HOT in there and helped us pretend we went somewhere warm, but the 90% humidity wasn’t doing my hair any favors. It was modeled after a South American tropical rain forest.
The Ocean Zone
People who know me well know that the ocean kind of freaks me out. I usually get anxious in aquarium style settings, but this one was actually really fun! There were hundreds of different species and over three million litres (thanks metric system) of water! I was a little disappointed I didn’t get to see any jellyfish though.
Outer Space
Space has been on my mind a lot since visiting Hasselblad. The space exhibit had a lot of those Hasselblad images featured, but they also had a lot of other interactive stations. Since we’re all very mature young business professionals, our favorite was the model of the space toilet that made a fart noise when you sat on it.
The Hub
If I had to find one common theme between all of the businesses we’ve visited during this trip, it would be rapid advancement of technology. The hub focuses on all thing hi-tech and everything was super interactive.
We had a group dinner at a Himalayan restaurant and while the company was great, I don’t think I’m a fan of the cuisine. We ordered family style so we could try a variety of different meats and sauces.
After dinner, we hit up Avenyn to celebrate Matt’s birthday!
Coffee Break
I had a vanilla latte at breakfast, but I’m sure you’re all tired of seeing pictures of the same drink. I know this isn’t coffee, but I tried a Nocco energy drink as a mid-day pick me up! They’re about as popular here as Monsters are in America.

Cocktail Hour
We celebrated Matt’s 23rd at the Excet nightclub, but I was having so much fun that I forgot to take pictures! It was cool to hear the Swedish remixes of American songs!
Today’s Top Three
1. I will never be too old to enjoy an interactive museum.
2. Most clubs require you to be 25 or older to enter nightclubs.
3. Even college students get student discounts at the Universeum!

Interesting day!!
